Rating: - On the third day Jamie made the flavour-shaker!God gave us the granite, to make a mortar & pestle. Jamie oliver, used plastic for his creation. One works, the other doesn't! Sadly,I own both. To sum up,one is made of granite,& the other is a rip-off gadget. Buy a mortar & pestle,it will serve you a life time. Jamies' gadget won't! Rating: - Why?What a waste of time - complete hype and that's about it. Nothing but the most useless gadget in the kitchen, it leaks and fails to do just about everything. Rating: - Leaky Flavour ShakerLike many other reviewers, I had high hopes of this gadget. However, after a few uses it has started to leak and can't be trusted not to splash oil over the kitchen. I'm sure a good product designer could improve on what Jamie (or his branding team) have come up with here! Rating: - thanks guys (and Amazon)i was just about to order one of these things: being disabled i'm always looking for easier ways of doing things. but i thought i'd read a few customer reviews first. wow! unrelieved condemnation of what seems to be a rip-off piece of junk. i think jamie needs to respond, preferably by giving all you lot your money back. thanks guys for forewarning me and thanks Amazon for providing this forum. Rating: - Rarely use itLove Jamie Oliver, his recipes and his efforts to improve the nation's health but when it comes to this item I think you're far better off with a decent mortar and pestle. I'm a keen cook but have only used this twice in the years I've had it. You really have to use all your strength to have any effect on the ingredients inside and even then it won't have much of an impact on, say, a garlic clove or a sprig of rosemary beyond giving them a bit of a bruising. A bit messy too. Sorry Jamie. |
